Christine and the Queens Releases "To Be Honest" & Announces New Album, Tour

Christine and the Queens presents his new album PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE, which will be released on 9 June via Because Music in 3xLP, CD and digital formats. The record’s first single, “To be honest,” was debuted by Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1 as her Hottest Record In The World and is available to stream and download now. “To be honest” is an ethereal, synth-driven first glimpse into the French phenomenon’s most all-encompassing album to date.  It comes accompanied by a video directed by Chris shot on the English coast. He says of the upcoming release:

This record is the remembrance of the artistic gesture as the one beautiful thing we can do, as humans - a sublimation of life, a vessel for expression thanks to the wonderful act of transmutation that our imagination does, all the time, to everything. Love transmutes through desire and imagination, enchants it whole then deserts it and leaves it dying in dust. Imagination saves us, constantly, with bridges and visions.

The release of “To be honest” coincides with the announcement that Christine and the Queens will curate the celebrated Meltdown Festival at London’s Southbank Centre between June 9-18 2023, and give a headline performance at this year’s BBC Radio 6 Music Festival on March 25 in Manchester. He will also be performing at a number of festivals worldwide, including Coachella in California, Primavera in Barcelona and Madrid and headline slots at Roskilde in Denmark and Wilderness in the UK, with more to be announced soon.
