After the Water EP release of summer 2017, the Austrian musician and producer Little Element is now conquering hearts with her positive energetic DEBUT album Fire. She couldn't have chosen a more harmonious title that sums up the record in one element. A journey between folktronic, indierock and dreampop merges with far eastern and Latin American features. Despite a whiff of melancholy it feels like the sun never sets.

Fire as a symbolic element and energy is passionate, cheerful and lively, so the fire illuminates and warms its surroundings and creates a cultural meeting place - as does Little Element’s debut. Amongst the catchy melodies, danceable beats and distorted surf- guitar solos, you find Little Element singing with a dreamy voice filled with lightness and charm.

With songs like "Tel Aviv", "Vinho Portugues", "Queen of the Waves", Little Element speaks of love, the conflict between reason and drive and the rebellious pursuit of dreams, which often drives you insane and crosses your own limits. The experimental processing of feelings is a key factor in Little Element’s compositions. For example, she recorded while seated in an airplane cabin and transformed original voice messages in Hebrew to samples. These playful moves give Fire an extra note of emotional proximity.

Little Element got the fuel and oxygen for Fire from travels to Israel, Spain and Portugal. The recording sessions started in Portugal after two months traveling in a hippie van with her close friend, musician Stephan Mader, when they based in a remote house in a Portuguese fishing village to write and record over 10 days. The recording finished in her home studio based in the Tyrolean mountains.
